SPSS

SPSS licenses for Windows, Mac OS, and Unix are available for faculty office and home computers. Please contact Dixie Vaught at 206-7350 (email: DVaug1@uis.edu) to arrange for installation or upgrade.

Yearly License Renewal for SPSS for Windows:

Renewing the SPSS for windows license depends upon which version you are currently running. Each version has a different license number.

To check the spss version:

start spss for windows.
click on the Help item in the menu bar
Click on About SPSS.

If you are running version 10.0 or 10.0.7 or any earlier version, please call 206-7350 or email dvaug1@uis.edu and make an appointment to update your software.

If you are running Version 10.1, please call 206-7350 or email dvaug1@uis.edu to make an appointment to have the new Version 10.1.4 patch installed on your computer.

If you are currently running Version 10.1.4 of SPSS for Windows, simply e-mail dvaug1@uis.edu to get the yearly renewal number by e-mail.

To Renew your SPSS License:

Click Start, Run
Enter C:\Program Files\spss\licrenew.exe 
A prompt appears 2 times asking for the new license number.
At the first prompt, enter the license number.
Press enter.
At the second prompt, press enter.

NEW: click here to upgrade SPSS for Windows from version 10.1/10.1.3 to 10.1.4  (if prompted for file download, select Open)
